Life is full of twists and turns! In 2010, after completing my nursing degree at BYU-I I had a stroke and was unable to return to nursing. I had a few limitations (challenges) and knew I would be unable to work outside the home.
I few of my friends introduced me to Etsy! It has been a "HUGE" unexpected blessing! It has allowed me to stay home with my family and help out financially.
We our so fortunate!! My husband and I are raising our family of ten in beautiful Ashton, Idaho. A small town 55 miles from West Yellowstone surrounded by mountains, trees and the Henry's Fork of the Snake River. There is so much to do right out our backdoor! I can't believe we get to live and work here!
In 2013, my daughter Maddie joined me. There is no way I could do this alone anymore! My husband is always building anything we need and helping us deal with all the inventory. He jokes that he is my "muscles" and Maddie is my "brain". Ha! Ha! We have hired family, stay-at-home moms and high school students to help us with the wreath making.
I would have never imagined this a few years ago!!! We are out growing our basement and have high hopes of building a shop/studio this Spring! A "thank you" to all our customers! We LOVE seeing you come back to purchase for gifts, holidays or your home décor.......A big "THANK YOU" to my husband and daughter...none of this would be possible without you!!!
Starting 2015 a portion of our sales will be donated to a local Stroke Foundation. I feel extremely blessed... I have a few limitations or challenges, but my heart goes out to those individuals and families that are suffering from the effects of a stroke.
Thank you Etsy! This is more than I ever dreamed of.....
